Business Ireland Ghana (BIG) is the representative association for Ghanaian businesses with an interest in Ireland and Irish Businesses with an interest in Ghana. It is a chapter of Business Ireland Africa. The association aims to foster relationships and networking opportunities between Irish nationals resident in Ghana and Irish businesses coming to the market for the first time. We also offer advice to Ghanaian organisations with an interest in Ireland. We are supported by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade and the Irish embassy based in Abuja, Nigeria and the Irish Honorary Consulate in Accra
Specifically BIG aims to promote the interests of its members:-
- Organize presentations, roundtable discussions, seminars and other networking activities. It also co-operates with Enterprise Ireland in introducing Irish delegations to the membership and other interested organisation.
- Collect and disseminate information for its Members to help them become familiar with market conditions and regulations of concern to them.
- Assist those considering becoming engaged in economic or business activity in Ghana – to act as a focal point to assist new entrants to the market.
- Maintain cordial relationships with various relevant Ghanaian and Irish organizations.
